Just Cause
It all started with an intuition of helping the needy. A friend of mine named Yeswanth started this group in Facebook called "Our Contribution To Our Country". We all supported his thoughts and ideas and joined as volunteers and at present we have 180 volunteers. You can check our blog at http://aacharana-nsp.blogspot.in/ It's been almost one year we started this organisation and we did a lot of events.

This is also an experience about how selfish people are. We heard about a Fire accident at a nearby place and within two weeks we started collecting old clothes for the affected people. A group of 8 guys from our organisation begin our journey in search of the village. After a 3-4 hrs journey we found the place. As we were going through we noticed its in a very remote place and even heavy vehicles cannot enter the village. Its located near the sea, may be that is the reason fire spread rapidly because there's lots of wind and salt in the air. We felt sorrow seeing at the condition of the village. As soon as we stopped our vehicle, the people there noticed us and knew that we came to help them. We didnt know where to start and what to do. In fact we didnt even go near the burnt places. Some people said that the families who got affected are given special cards by the government so that they can be identified. So we planned to verify those cards and help them. We sent one person into the village to bring the people who have been issued those cards.

A huge crowd gathered near us, so we put all the clothes in an open building and tied ropes at the entrance so that they wont be able to come in. But as we started giving clothes, we came to know that each person is carrying two or more cards with them. As we went for serving them, we worked patiently. Soon after sometime the people started quarreling and fighting for clothes, some men were even trying to jump into the building from the open area. Some of them are not satisfied with the clothes we gave and started selecting the one's they liked. We were at the edge of loosing our patience. At last we left them, they pushed us and went to pick up the clothes they like. We went into the village for seeing the affected area, to our surprise we saw many burnt houses and also the people who really lost all their property and clothes are there in that area. At last we understood that the people who had cards are the people who support the local politician and relatives of head of the village.
But still we didnt loose the hope of serving the needy. Atleast some people will get help...
